Contact the maintenance company immediately. Phone numbers for both the maintenance provider and the door-opening service can be found on the entrance door of the building. Remember, the door will only be opened upon presentation of valid ID, so it’s important to register your change of address with the property management and maintenance company as soon as you move in.

What Is Avainturva Insurance?
Avainturva covers the costs related to door openings and the replacement of lost or stolen keys or locks—including incidents such as forgetting your key, theft, or loss. Coverage is limited to one incident per insured unit per calendar year, with a maximum compensation of €300.
How to Claim Compensation
Submit a damage report and apply for compensation within a year of losing your key, and make sure everything is handled before your lease ends. Claims are submitted via the AsumisPLUS damage notification form, which must include receipts for related expenses. More details can be found in the AsumisPLUS terms (effective from 1.1.2021).

Can’t Pick Up Keys During Office Hours?
Life gets busy—especially during a move. In Tampere, the key pickup machine is available during Kauppa-Aleksi’s opening hours: weekdays 8–18 and Saturdays 9–16. It’s closed on Sundays and holidays. In Turku, the key machine is available 24/7. The system works similarly to Posti’s parcel lockers, making it easy and hassle-free. You’ll receive a text message with detailed instructions about where and how to retrieve your key using a pickup code.
